Convert PDF to text or extract pages as JPG images — instantly in your browser.
The PDF Converter is a free, browser-based tool that processes PDF files entirely on your device — no file is ever uploaded to a server. It supports two modes: Extract Text (pull all readable text from the PDF into a copyable text area) and Save as Images (render each page as a high-quality PNG image for download). Powered by PDF.js.
Pull all text from a report, research paper, or contract to copy into a document, translation tool, or analysis.
Convert PDF pages to PNG images for embedding in presentations, websites, or social media posts.
Extract content from old PDFs and save pages as images for digitising, cataloguing, or long-term archiving.
Extract text from e-books, guides, and documents to edit, translate, or reformat the content.
No. All processing is done entirely within your browser using PDF.js. Your PDF file never leaves your device — it is completely private.
Text extraction works with PDFs that contain embedded text (e.g. digitally created documents). Scanned PDFs are images of text and require OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software — this tool does not perform OCR.
Pages are rendered at high resolution suitable for presentation slides, website embedding, and digital use. The quality scales with the original PDF resolution.
Since processing happens in your browser, performance depends on your device's memory. Very large PDFs (100+ pages or 50MB+) may process slowly on older devices.
Completely free with no account required. Convert as many PDFs as you need.
